Raised in a country setting on 10 acres of land in once-rural Freehold Township, Grant cites her childhood as the beginning of a deep love and appreciation for the environment.

Grant’s love for the environment ultimately led her to NY/NJ Baykeeper.

“Shortly thereafter I was asked to accept appointment to the Board,” she said. “I enthusiastically said ‘yes.’ Baykeeper provides me with an opportunity to play a more meaningful role in our shared responsibility for the world in which we live.”

Grant, who owns Rumson-based ecofriendly interior design company FG Design Solutions LLC, has managed to weave her own environmental stewardship into every aspect of her life and has managed to pass down her advocacy to the next generation.

Grant cites her work with Baykeeper’s Oyster restoration Project as her most satisfying achievement for me has been assisting in the development of the Oyster Restoration Project. Grant believes that under the leadership of newly-elected Gov. Phil Murphy, organizations like NY/NJ Baykeeper have an opportunity to expand their environmental stewardship.
