People’s Climate March 9.21.14
August 25, 2014WE are the Storm We've Been Waiting For
Between the historic droughts, floods, and storms, one thing is increasingly clear: the time for talk is over. This September, world leaders are coming to New York City for a landmark Climate Summit at the United Nations -- and we'll be meeting them in the streets to demand real action.
Join us at Columbus Circle, NYC on Sunday, September 21st, 11:30am for the People's Climate March - the largest mobilization demanding climate action in history.
Click here to add your name if you can join us!
We will keep you informed of logistics and make sure you're there to march with us and fellow Waterkeepers!
It's not going to be easy, but with our future on the line the choice is clear: we need to mobilize like never before and hold our leaders accountable for their inaction. The People's Climate March is when we're drawing a line in the sand and standing up for our families, our friends, our communities, and our children's future. Watch NY/NJ Baykeeper Executive Director, Debbie Mans explain why this Climate March is so important to her.
We don't have time for empty words or promises. Join us on September 21st to tell our leaders the time for talk is over.
There has never been a better time to join the movement to stop runaway climate change and create a more robust and just economy. RSVP to the march and let your friends and family know why they should be there too. Click here for more route details and transportation.
Head to NYC by boat! Ride the Seastreak "Ferry for Progress" with Clean Water Action for a reduced rate of $32 per person roundtrip. The ferry departs from the Highlands, NJ terminal at 326 Shore Drive at 9:30 a.m. To get the reduced rate, we need at least 30 people to sign up by 9/8/2014! RSVP here.
Together we can change history. #SwimmableWater
