Dear Friends of NY/NJ Baykeeper,

The  New Jersey Senate Environment and Energy Committee will be voting on S2122, a bill that would allow for the cultivation of shellfish species in certain coastal and inner harbor waters for research, educational or ecological restoration purposes, on Thursday, July 15, 2010.  Please take a moment to contact the committee members and urge them to support the bill.  This bill would allow for vital scientific research and educational programs on marine life to continue, especially in our more populated areas.

Hi, my name is ______________, I'm a constituent who lives in ___________. I'm calling today to encourage Senator _________  to support S-2122 that is coming up for a vote in the Senate Environment and Energy Committee on Thursday, July 15, 2010.  The bill allows cultivation of commercial shellfish species in certain coastal waters for research and education.  I believe it's critically important to continue the scientific research and educate our children about marine life in all New Jersey waters, especially in light of the horrendous spill in the Gulf of Mexico.   Thank you very much for your consideration.
