Find a Bag, Fill a Bag
It seems that everywhere we go, our streets, wetlands, parks, and beaches are littered with single-use plastic items like straws, styrofoam, bottles, and utensils. If you’re like us at Baykeeper and feel guilty or overwhelmed for not picking up every piece of trash in your line of sight, we challenge you to find a bag and fill a bag! More often than not, you will find an empty plastic bag amidst litter. (Side note: We’ve heard plastic bags being referred to as NJ’s state flower lately – Let’s change that!) Share your photos of full bags with us on Instagram @nynjbaykeeper by tagging #findabagfillabag. A little bit goes a long way!
